Welcome to SpellBee. By using our app, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SpellBee, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our app.

If you download SpellBee from the Apple App Store, your use is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement (Standard EULA), available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. Where these Terms and Apple's Standard EULA conflict, Apple's Standard EULA governs to the extent of that conflict.

2. Description of Service

SpellBee is an educational app designed to help children practise spelling through interactive exercises, word lists, and progress tracking.

3. Account Registration

To use SpellBee, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old (or have parental consent)
• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account
• Notify us of any unauthorised access

You are responsible for all activities under your account.

4. Subscription Terms

4.1 Free Tier

• 1 word list
• 7 words per list
• 1 child profile
• All practice modes

4.2 Premium Subscription

• Unlimited word lists
• Unlimited words per list
• Unlimited child profiles
• Priority support

4.3 Pricing

• Monthly: £2.99 per month
• Yearly: £24.99 per year

All subscriptions include a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.

4.4 Auto-Renewal

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will be charged through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account.

4.5 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Play Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial periods.

4.6 Free Trial

New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. You may cancel during the trial period without charge. If you do not cancel, you will be charged the subscription fee at the end of the trial.

4.7 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. You will be notified of any price changes in advance. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

5. Refund Policy

Refunds are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play Store according to their policies. We do not provide direct refunds. Contact Apple or Google for refund requests.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access
• Interfere with the app's operation
• Share your account with others
• Reverse engineer or copy the app
• Upload harmful content or malware

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of SpellBee are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without our permission.

8. User Content

You retain ownership of word lists and content you create. By using our app, you grant us a licence to store and process your content to provide our services.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

10. Disclaimers

SpellBee is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, specific educational outcomes, compatibility with all devices, or accuracy of all content.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims arising from your use of the app or violation of these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
